Portland screening will conclude the filim's festival tour

"In A Quiet Room" has been selected to be included in the 2026 Oregon Short Film Festival!

The event will be the film's Oregon premiere and will also officially conclude its festival tour.

For those interested in viewing the film who were unable to attend a festival screening, a YouTube premiere is scheduled for Mar. 6, 2026 at 7 p.m. EST.

"I'm incredibly proud that the team's hard work has been acknowledged by festival programmers over the past year-and-a-half," director James Faucett said. "And it's been so rewarding to interact with people who watched the film and were emotionally moved by it."

The Oregon festival will take place Jan. 18 at the Clinton Street Theater in Portland. Tickets for the festival can be purchased here.

During its festival run, "In A Quiet Room" has been named an official selection for nine festivals, winning four awards and garnering four additional nominations along the way.

Lead actor Karen Carlson won "Best Lead Performance" at the North Carolina Film Festival in August after picking up a "Best Actor" award at the Georgia Shorts Film Festival last year.

Writer/director James Faucett also won 'Best Georgia Filmmaker at the Broad Street Film Festival in March, and the film was awarded "Best Narrative Short" at the St. Auggie Shorts Film Festival in February.

The IAQR Team thanks the Oregon Short Film Festival for the honor and encourages everyone to attend and support the film community!
