The award marks the film's third festival win since its release

James Faucett, writer and director of "In A Quiet Room," has won the "Best Georgia Filmmaker" award at the 2025 Broad Street Film Festival!

Award winners were announced at the conclusion of the festival on March 9.

"This award wouldn't have been possible without the hard work of an extremely talented cast and crew," Faucett said. "And all the efforts of the festival programmers in supporting independent film are so appreciated. It was a truly memorable experience."

The film has received three wins and three additional nominations since its release. Lead actor Karen Carlson picked up a "Best Actor" win at the Georgia Shorts Film Festival last year, and the film won "Best Narrative Short" at the St. Auggie Shorts Film Festival in February.

The IAQR Team thanks the Broad Street Film Festival for the honor!
